Isolation is one of the great challenges of being a postdoc at the best of times and the time of Corona has intensified that for all of us. It is more important than ever to be part of a community and find your support networks. If you are a Postdoc in Göttingen, then the Göttingen Campus (GC) Postdoc Network might be just the place for you. Run by and for postdocs since 2017, the Network facilitates communication between Postdocs in Göttingen, irrespective of their institution or discipline. Its main goals are to improve the Postdoc experience and to ensure that the Postdoc community is valued, understood and heard. Thanks to the Network, Postdocs can access information, exchange views and get the advice they need to take their next steps.
Postdocs are usually defined as doctorate holders who conduct research with a time-limited contract, but the GC Postdoc Network also welcomes late-stage doctoral students and other early career researchers, research visitors, science managers, and anyone who can benefit from the support of the Network.

Und so ist es wichtiger denn je, Teil einer Gemeinschaft zu sein und Unterstützungsnetzwerke zu finden. Wenn Sie Postdoc in Göttingen sind, dann könnte das Postdoc-Netzwerk des Göttinger Campus (GC) genau der richtige Ort für Sie sein. Das Netzwerk, das seit 2017 von und für Postdocs betrieben wird, erleichtert die Kommunikation zwischen Postdocs in Göttingen, unabhängig von ihrer Institution oder Disziplin. Hauptziele sind, die Postdoc-Erfahrung zu verbessern und sicherzustellen, dass die Gemeinschaft geschätzt, verstanden und gehört wird. Dank des Netzwerks können Postdocs auf Informationen zugreifen, Meinungen austauschen und die Ratschläge erhalten, die sie für ihre nächsten Schritte benötigen.
Postdoktoranden werden normalerweise als Promovierte definiert, die mit einem befristeten Vertrag forschen, aber das GC-Postdoc-Netzwerk heißt auch Doktoranden im Spätstadium ihrer Promotion und andere Nachwuchsforscher*innen, Gastwissenschaftler*innen, Wissenschaftsmanager*innen und alle, die von der Unterstützung des Netzwerks profitieren können, willkommen.
