Erinnerung: Amtseinführung von Universitätspräsident Prof. Dr. Metin Tolan / Inauguration of University President Professor Metin Tolan
Die Universität Göttingen feiert die Amtseinführung ihres neuen Präsidenten Prof. Dr. Metin Tolan mit einer Festveranstaltung in der Aula am Wilhelmsplatz. Die Veranstaltung am Donnerstag, 1. April 2021, findet aufgrund der Corona-Pandemie ohne Gäste statt. Sie wird ab 19 Uhr live auf dem YouTube-Kanal der Universität übertragen.
Dr. Valérie Schüller, hauptberufliche Vizepräsidentin für Finanzen und Personal und derzeit kommissarische Präsidentin der Universität, wird die Gäste begrüßen. Es folgen Ansprachen von Stephan Weil, Niedersächsischer Ministerpräsident, Prof. Dr. Peter Strohschneider, Vorsitzender des Stiftungsrats der Universität Göttingen, Prof. Dr. Stefan Hell, Direktor am Max-Planck-Institut für biophysikalische Chemie in Göttingen, und Björn Thümler, Niedersächsischer Minister für Wissenschaft und Kultur.

The University of Göttingen will celebrate the inauguration of its new President Professor Metin Tolan with a special event in the University’s Aula at Wilhelmsplatz. The event on Thursday 1 April 2021 will take place without the presence of guests due to the coronavirus pandemic. It will be broadcast live on the University’s YouTube channel from 19:00.
Dr Valérie Schüller, full-time Vice-President for Finance and Human Resources and currently acting President of the University, will welcome the attendees online. This will be followed by speeches by Stephan Weil (Minister President of the state of Lower Saxony), Professor Peter Strohschneider (Chairman of the Foundation Council of the University of Göttingen), Professor Stefan Hell (Director at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen) and Björn Thümler (Lower Saxony Minister for Science and Culture).
