Liebe Angehörige der Universität,
liebe Studierende,
aufgrund der dynamischen – um nicht zu sagen dramatischen – Entwicklung der Infektions- und Hospitalisierungszahlen hat sich die Universitätsleitung in Abstimmung mit der virtuellen AG Studium und Lehre zu Änderungen im Lehrbetrieb entschlossen, die ab dem kommenden Montag, 6. Dezember 2021, gelten, aber wo möglich ab sofort angewendet werden sollten: Vorlesungen und Veranstaltungen mit Gruppengrößen ab 50 Personen finden dann nur noch online statt. Ab Donnerstag, 16. Dezember 2021, sind bis zum Jahresende alle Veranstaltungen mit Ausnahme von Praktika generell nur noch online möglich.
Zum kommenden Montag wird die Universität auch in Stufe 2 (orange) des universitären Stufenplans wechseln. Details dieser Änderungen finden Sie hier im Newsletter.
Vor dem Hintergrund dieser Änderungen möchten wir Sie noch einmal darauf aufmerksam machen, dass laut dem aktuellen Infektionsschutzgesetz der Arbeitgeber den Beschäftigten im Fall von Büroarbeit oder vergleichbaren Tätigkeiten anzubieten hat, diese Tätigkeiten in deren Wohnung auszuführen, wenn keine zwingenden betriebsbedingten Gründe entgegenstehen. Wir bitten die Führungskräfte um Prüfung, wie die Funktionsfähigkeit einer Einheit ohne Einschränkung (= zwingende betriebliche Gründe) aufrecht erhalten werden kann. Dear Staff, Students, and Guests of the University,
Due to the dynamic, not to say dramatic, development of the infection and hospitalisation figures, the University management, after consultation with the virtual working group for Student and Academic Services, has decided to make changes to the teaching schedule. These will apply from next Monday (6 December), but should be applied immediately where possible: lectures and events with groups of 50 people or more will then only take place online, and from Thursday 16 December until the end of the year, all events will only take place online (with the exception of practicals).
As of next Monday (6 December), the University will also change to Level 2 (orange) of our University 3-level system. Details of these changes can be found here in this newsletter.
Bearing these changes in mind, we would like to draw your attention once again to the fact that, as per the current Infektionsschutzgesetz (infection protection law), the employer has to make sure that, in the case of office work or comparable activities, staff can carry out their duties from home if there are no compelling operational reasons to the contrary. We ask managers to examine how the smooth running of each unit can be maintained without constraints (= compelling operational reasons).
Our intention is to keep you informed about decisions as soon as possible and we will update the related information on our coronavirus websites in the next few days. Of course, we are continuously monitoring and evaluating the further course of the pandemic and adapting our regulations accordingly.
