Göttinger Zivilcouragepreis / Civil Courage Award
Wer Menschen in Gefahr hilft und gegen körperliche wie verbale Angriffe in Schutz nimmt, zeigt Zivilcourage. Couragiertes Handeln kann ebenso bedeuten, sich zunächst in Sicherheit zu bringen und Hilfe zu organisieren. Sie kennen jemanden, die oder der couragiert gehandelt hat? Das Ganze ist in Göttingen passiert oder es waren Göttinger*innen beteiligt? Dann können Sie diese Person ab sofort für den diesjährigen Göttinger Zivilcouragepreis vorschlagen. Noch bis zum 16. Oktober 2020 haben Sie Zeit, Ihre Nominierung abzugeben.
Der Präventionsrat für die Stadt Göttingen und die Bürgerstiftung Göttingen würdigen mit der Verleihung Menschen, die „Gesicht zeigen“, und die durch ihr verantwortungsvolles Verhalten ein Vorbild für andere geben. Der Göttinger Zivilcouragepreis 2020 ist mit bis zu 2.000 Euro dotiert.

Anyone who helps people in danger and protects them against physical and verbal attacks shows moral courage. Courageous action can also mean first getting to safety and organising help. Do you know someone who has acted courageously? Did the whole thing happen in Göttingen or were Göttingen residents involved? Then you can now nominate this person for this year’s Göttingen Zivilcouragepreis (civil courage award). You still have until 16 October 2020 to submit your nomination.
With this award, the Präventionsrat for the City of Göttingen and the Bürgerstiftung Göttingen pay tribute to people who are prepared to stand up and set an example for others through their responsible behaviour. The Göttingen Zivilcouragepreis 2020 is endowed with up to 2,000 euros.
