Aufruf zur Blutspende / Appeal for blood donation
Wer hat die blutreichste Fakultät im ganzen Land? Unter dem Motto „Medissspendenblut“ rufen Medizinstudierende aus ganz Deutschland vom 8. Juni bis zum 3. Juli 2020 zu einem Blutspende-Wettbewerb auf. Das Gute daran: Jede*r kann mitmachen – egal ob Studi, Prof, Beschäftigte*r oder Freund der Universität. Also auf zur Blutspende am Campus: Jeder Tropfen zählt.
Mit dieser Aktion wollen die studentischen Initiator*innen zum einen für die Blutspende werben, aber auch helfen, die Blutbanken in den Universitätskliniken ihrer Fakultäts-Standorte aufzustocken. Deutschlandweit ist ein Rückgang an Blutspenden zu verzeichnen, insbesondere in Zeiten von Corona. Dabei ist Blut durch nichts zu ersetzen und Spenden gesunder Menschen oftmals lebensrettend.
Das Göttinger „Medisspendenblut“-Team wird unterstützt vom Blutspendedienst „Blut für’s Klinikum“ der UMG. Wer das Göttinger Team stärken möchte, kann dies in der „Blutspende am Campus“, Weender Landstraße 1, tun. Gespendet werden kann ohne Voranmeldung zu folgenden Zeiten: montags und freitags von 8 bis 14 Uhr, dienstags, mittwochs und donnerstags von 12 bis 18 Uhr.
Vor Ort ist ein kurzes Anmeldeformular zum Wettbewerb auszufüllen und bei den Mitarbeiter*innen des Blutspende-Teams abzugeben. Die Blutspende selbst läuft dann wie üblich ab: Eine Voruntersuchung beziehungsweise ein ärztliches Gespräch gehört dazu. Die eigentliche Blutspende dauert nur fünf bis zehn Minuten. Im Anschluss gibt es einen Imbiss und eine Aufwandsentschädigung.
Under the motto „Medical students donate blood“, medical students from all over Germany are calling for a blood donation competition from 8 June to 3 July. Anyone and everyone can take part – no matter whether you are a student, a professor, an employee or a friend of the university. So let’s go donate blood on campus: every drop counts!
With this campaign, the initiators want to promote blood donation and help to stock the number of local blood banks in the university clinics of their faculty locations. Throughout Germany, there has been a decline in blood donations, especially in times of corona. There is no substitute for blood and donations from healthy people are often life-saving.
The Göttingen „Medisspendenblut“ team is supported by the blood donation service „Blut für’s Klinikum“ of the UMG. Anyone who would like to help can do so at the „Blood Donation on Campus“, Weender Landstraße 1, 37073 Göttingen. Donations can be made without prior appointment at the following times: Mondays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays: from 12 a.m. to 6 p.m.
A short registration form for the competition has to be filled out and handed in to the blood donation team members. The blood donation itself is then carried out as usual: a preliminary examination or an interview with a donor doctor is part of the procedure. The actual blood donation only takes five to ten minutes. Afterwards, there is a snack and an expense allowance.
