Welcome Centre: Unterstützung für internationale Wissenschaftler*innen / Support for international researchers
Internationale Wissenschaftler*innen mit abgeschlossener Promotion, die für mehr als vier Wochen nach Göttingen kommen, finden im Welcome Centre Unterstützung rund um ihren Gastaufenthalt. Das Team in der Abteilung Göttingen International (GI) bietet Unterstützung, um die Ankunft und den Aufenthalt vor Ort so angenehm wie möglich zu machen und die Kolleg*innen an den Fakultäten zu entlasten. Neue Teamleiterin im Welcome Centre ist Valia Carvalho, die bislang das Regionalreferat Afrika und Lateinamerika in der Abteilung GI geleitet hat.
An Ihrer Fakultät oder Ihrem Institut sind Gastaufenthalte oder Neueinstellungen von Gastwissenschaftler*innen geplant? Dann melden Sie sich möglichst frühzeitig per E-Mail unter welcome@uni-goettingen.de, damit die Betreuung rechtzeitig geplant und möglichst effizient gestaltet werden kann.

Internationale Studierende und Promovierende werden vom International Student Office und vom Accommodation Service für Studierende unterstützt.
International researchers who have completed their doctorate and are coming to Göttingen for more than four weeks can get support and advice for their stay from the Welcome Centre. The team in the International Office can make their arrival and stay as smooth and pleasant as possible. The team will take care of issues to lessen the load of those working at the faculties. The new team leader of the Welcome Centre is Valia Carvalho, who was previously Regional Coordinator for Latin America and Africa at the International Office.
