25. März 2023: Evakuierung wegen Bombenbeseitigung – Änderung / Evacuation 25 March 2023: suspected WWII bomb disposal – update
Wie die Stadt Göttingen bereits veröffentlicht hat, wird es am Sonnabend, 25. März 2023, erneut zur Sondierung und Bergung von mindestens drei Kampfmittelverdachtspunkten im Umfeld des Schützenplatzes kommen. Hierbei ist eine Evakuierung in einem Radius von 1000 Metern um die Fundstellen herum notwendig, die auch weite Teile des Bereichs am Zentralcampus betrifft.
Da somit die Zentralmensa geschlossen bleiben muss und um eine Sicherstellung der Evakuierung deutlich zu erleichtern, bleiben an dem Tag alle universitären Gebäude und Grundstücke im Bereich des Zentralcampus gesperrt und dürfen nicht betreten werden, bis die zuständigen Behörden Entwarnung geben. Wir möchten Sie bitten, dies bei der Planung und Durchführung von Lehr-, Prüfungs- oder Sonderveranstaltungen zu berücksichtigen.
Andere Bereiche der Universität sind nach aktueller Informationenlage nicht betroffen. Auf eine Erweiterung des Sicherheitsradius im Fall einer notwendigen Sprengung verzichtet die Stadt bei dieser Maßnahme. Dennoch bleibt das Forum Wissen aus Rücksicht auf die Maßnahme am Sonnabend, 25. März 2023, zur Vermeidung von größerem Personenaufkommen in unmittelbarer Nähe des Evakuierungsradius geschlossen.

As already announced by the City of Göttingen, on Saturday 25 March 2023, at least three suspected bombs from WWII in the vicinity of Schützenplatz will be investigated and made safe. This will require an evacuation within a radius of 1,000 metres around the sites. This means that it will be necessary to evacuate large parts of the area around the Central Campus.
The Zentralmensa canteen will have to remain closed, and as this will make it much easier to secure the evacuation, all University buildings and properties in the Central Campus area will remain closed on that day and may not be entered until the all-clear has been given by the authorities. We would like to ask you to take this into account when planning and holding teaching, examination or special events.
According to current information, other areas of the University are not affected. The City has decided not to extend the security radius in the event that a controlled explosion is necessary. Nevertheless, Forum Wissen will remain closed on Saturday 25 March 2023 in order to avoid larger crowds in the immediate vicinity of the evacuation radius.
