liebe Lehrende,
seit anderthalb Monaten bin ich nun mit Freude als Vizepräsident für Studium und Lehre dieser Universität im Amt, und damit für viele Prozesse zuständig, die Sie als Studierende und Lehrende betreffen. Mit Blick auf die noch bis zum kommenden Montag laufenden Wahlen möchte ich mich heute vor allem an die Studierenden wenden:
Liebe Studierende,
die von Ihnen gewählten Vertreter*innen in Senat und im Allgemeinen Studierendenausschuss (AStA) sind wichtige Ansprechpersonen für das Präsidium, um Ihre Anliegen aufzunehmen und diesen mit Unterstützung der Kolleg*innen in der Abteilung Studium und Lehre nachzugehen. In diesem Zusammenhang möchte ich Sie ermuntern, durch die Abgabe Ihrer Stimme über die Gestaltung des Universitäts- und Studienbetriebs mit zu entscheiden. Wählen Sie Ihre studentischen Vertreter*innen in den verschiedenen Gremien der studentischen und akademischen Selbstverwaltung und zeigen Sie damit nicht zuletzt, dass Sie das große Privileg einer freien demokratischen Wahl wertschätzen. Seit vergangenem Montag – und noch bis zum kommenden Montag, 24. Januar 2022 – laufen die Hochschulwahlen. Gehen Sie zur Wahl und stärken Sie Ihren Vertreter*innen damit den Rücken!

Dear teaching staff,
I have been in office as Vice-President for Student and Academic Services at our University for one and a half months now. I am responsible for many processes that affect you as students and teaching staff. Bearing in mind that there are elections, which will run until next Monday, I would, in particular, like to address this message to the students today:
Dear Students,
Your elected representatives on the Senate and the AStA are important contacts for the Presidential Board in order to take up your concerns and – along with the support of our colleagues in the Student and Academic Services Department – to follow them up.
For this reason, I would like to encourage you to have your say in the shaping of the University and its academic life by casting your vote. Please vote for your student representatives in the various student and academic bodies and show that you value the great privilege of a free and democratic election. The University elections have been running since last Monday – and will continue until next Monday, 24 January 2022. Please go to the vote and support your representatives!
