Women‘s Careers and Networks Symposium (WoCaNet)

WocanetNoch bis zum 10. Mai 2021 können Sie sich für das Women‘s Careers and Networks Symposium (WoCaNet) registrieren. Ziel der englischsprachigen Veranstaltung am 27. und 28. Mai 2021 ist es, junge Nachwuchswissenschaftler*innen mit prominenten und erfolgreichen Wissenschaftler*innen zu vernetzen. Unter dem Motto „Transformation: Blaze your own trail“ sprechen internationale Expert*innen aus Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft. Das Symposium findet online statt und bietet viele interaktive Möglichkeiten zum Austausch. Die Registrierung ist kostenfrei. Die Teilnahme ist offen für Studierende und Wissenschaftler*innen jedweden Geschlechts.

Als Rednerin sprechen Prof. Dr. Dame Frances Ashcroft, Abteilung für Physiologie, Anatomie und Genetik der Universität Oxford, und Prof. Dr. Alessandra Minello, Abteilung für statistische Wissenschaften der Universität Padua, sowie Fachleute mit Karrierewegen in der Bildung, im Verlagswesen, in der Wissenschaftskommunikation und in der Industrie. Wer wissen möchte, wie man ein erfolgreiches MINT-Startup führt, kann sich auf Karen Dolva, CEO von No Isolation, Norwegen, und Dr. Radhika Patnala, CEO von Sci-illustrate, Deutschland, freuen. Am zweiten Tag sind alle Teilnehmenden herzlich zur Karrieremesse eingeladen

The aim of WoCaNet is to provide an interactive environment for young female scientists to discover new career paths and networking opportunities, while learning from the valuable experiences of renowned women and men from diverse professional backgrounds. In keeping with the theme of WoCaNet 2021, „Transformation: Blaze your own trail“, our program features accomplished professors, such as Professor Dame Frances Ashcroft, Department of Physiology, Anatomy, and Genetics, University of Oxford, and Professor Alessandra Minello, Department of Statistical Sciences, University of Padua, as well as successful professionals representing career trails in education, publishing, science communication, and industry.
